About

My family and I own a caravan on the East Coast and this is what it is all about.

How it began

An opportunity presented itself a few years ago to own a caravan with the other members of my family. As someone who spent many summer days enjoying the east coast, I jumped at the chance to relive those days with my young family. While the other members of the family took a little light encouragement we got the caravan and started exploring the area.

Over the years I have seen the little seaside towns, once bustling, board up and move away from the tourism industry. Now with more people not taking holidays abroad, a new injection of life can be seen. I really hope they stay and I can continue to be a part of it.

What we do

We like to spend a lot of time at the caravan and time is split between a few of us and sometimes we are all there at the same time.

We don’t advertise the caravan as being available to rent, but we do at times let to close family and friends. If you are one of these then this website is your friend helping you make the most of your stay.

We use the caravan, not only to enjoy the Haven site but as a base to discover all the local area has to offer. Making memories and having a great time experiencing new things.

This website

Now I have the base and a region to explore I want to share what I find. The aim of this website is to give exposure to the tremendous animal parks, farms, restaurants and every other place of interest. Helping holidaymakers make the most of the area and have a great time while supporting the local economy.

The website is broken down into two main sections. Things to do at Haven’s Blue Dolphin Holiday Park and things to do in the North and East Yorkshire regions.

Hopefully, this will be of use to people looking for the best way to spend their holiday and in return, I’ll receive suggestions of places I have yet to visit.
