Animal Parks & Wildlife

Bridlington Animal Park

The daily flying shows where you get up close and learn about birds are my star attraction at the animal park. The owls are very friendly and may decide your head makes for a good perch. As well as the birds there are plenty more animals to see and some to feed. There are the ever-popular meerkats, wallabies, lemurs, zebras and many more.

Sewerby Hall & Gardens

Boosting a mixture of different activities Sewerby Hall may appeal to the different generations of your family. The main attraction for me is its collection of penguins amongst other animals in its small zoo. There is also the grad 1 listed Hall itself and the numerous gardens. There is a play a children’s play area and a cafe. Keep an eye out on their website as they often have events on the grounds.

Bempton Cliffs

The perfect place to spot some amazing birds. Walk along the cliff tops and tick off the wonderful wild birds that visit including the fan favourite puffin and if you are very lucky the black-browed albatross that has been known to travel across, originally from the south Atlantic, now a resident of the Baltic Seas. A cafe, shop and toilets are all on-site making it a comfortable visit.

Penguin Island is a major attraction allowing you to get close with its walk-through experience. Along with the usual amenities the centre also hosts a pirate themed mini golf course.
